Florismart is an online flower marketplace where multiple suppliers are brought together in one webshop. From that webshop, professional florists can buy their flowers, plants, and sundries. The unique thing about Florismart is that florists order from an infinite stock, are able to compare suppliers with each other and are able to order from multiple suppliers at once. This way we are creating a transparent market for the professional florist. We are also starting to pave the way to shorten the flower supply chain and enable growers to sell directly to florists. Florismart is a young company, growing incredibly fast and since the start has doubled sales each year. Florismart is operational in the UK and Germany and will expand further into Europe next year.

Customer Service Representative

(40 hrs, M/F)

Job description

As a customer service representative, you are right at the heart of our retention and service department. Together with a team of 5, you will tend to Florismart’s customer base, and are the first point of contact for the stakeholders of this company. You’re a problem solver, pay great attention to details, are a strong communicator and an enthusiastic team player. The job is fast-paced, different every day, and requires the ability to work well independently as well as in a team. Is this you? Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • You are the customer’s first point of contact
  • Liaise with sales/trainers to encourage customers into training
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers and suppliers through open and interactive communication
  • Order processing
  • Liaise with transport
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via telephone or electronically
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention, track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
  • Provide pricing and delivery information to customers
  • Perform customer verifications
  • Set up new customer accounts
  • Generate sales leads
  • Liaise with exporters on quality issues on customer behalf
  • Other customer service functions required to deliver customer satisfaction as and when required


  • Customer focused, attentive to details, stress resilient, good communicator, independent, problem solving, ability to prioritize, team player
  • HBO level (Bachelor)
  • Advanced in the English and Dutch language
  • Great communication skills
  • Some previous work experience
  • Flexible, startup, dynamic character
