Engineering Construction Manager
Purpose of the function
Managing and coaching the team with construction engineers. Point of contact for colleagues and external parties at department level. Point of contact and responsible for the full implementation of 3D software. In addition, you realize project, process and control optimization in a coordinating role.
Position of the position in the organization
Is in charge of the Construction engineering department. Works under the direction of the Execution Director.
Characterization of activities
- managing and supervising the employees of the department
- ensuring a correct and complete implementation of 3D within the organization
- making(mechanical) architectural drawings with Autocad/Inventor
- execute of R&D work.
- create and monitor department planning
- analyze inefficient processes and come up with advice on how to tackle this
- performing simplifying, optimizing and digitizing internal processes
- coordinating and/or executing the improvement actions through a 'lean' working method and based on continuous improvement
- supporting the business and the Business Controllers by devising and implementing complex process improvements
- developing and implementing new analysis and reporting models
- collecting, analysing and reporting information on the productivity of departments and machines and financial indicators leading to a periodic evaluation
- provide solicited and unsolicited advice and initiate and implement improvement proposals on the field of work mainly focused on technical and process improvements
- advising the MT and middle management on linking KPIs to departmental objectives
- check the employee drawings
- check quotations or order confirmations from suppliers
- check whether processes are actually carried out (whether or not in accordance with agreements)
- monitoring strategic objectives and analyzing the company's results according to fixed procedures (KPIs) and based on your own insight, for the purpose of managing decisions and course changes
- reporting on mismatches and performing risk analyses
Responsibilities
- approve declarations and leave requests from employees of the department
- carefully (or have made) drawings made including extra control
- correct, timely and complete creation of article lists for the projects
- fulfilling the schedule; monitoring the costs and quality of the projects
- maintaining project files
- archiving of project documents/files
- optimal distribution of work among employees
- monitoring the planning and progress of the projects in progress
- responsible for drawing up, updating and improving the process descriptions
- responsible for monitoring, advising and challenging engineers in achieving objectives and results
Knowledge, skill and personality profile
- you have a completed Bachelor agree
- knowledge of 3D software, preferably Autocad/Inventor
- leadership capabilities
- experience with control and planning & control processes
- you act proactively; you analyses and initiate proposals for structural improvements
- excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English language
- excellent communication and social skills
